The Swedish Institute is offering an incredible opportunity for global professionals through its new scholarship program, the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP). This initiative, replacing the Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS), is designed to empower future leaders who will contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The SISGP provides scholarships for a multitude of master’s programs at Swedish Universities for the Autumn 2024 intake. This opportunity is not just about academic pursuits; it’s a chance to foster leaders committed to positive and sustainable development in their home countries and regions.

Swedish Higher Education Institutions and Universities are ready to welcome aspiring scholars.

The scholarship covers full-time one or two-year Master’s programs in various fields, including humanities, agricultural science, medicine and public health, natural science, social science, and technology. With approximately 700 English-taught master’s programs eligible for the SI scholarship, the possibilities are vast.

Around 350 scholarships are up for grabs, ensuring a significant impact on the global professional community.

This opportunity is open to students from a range of countries, including but not limited to Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Myanmar, Nigeria, Peru, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, and many more.

Successful applicants can enjoy full tuition coverage, living expenses of SEK 12,000 per month, insurance, and a one-time travel grant of SEK 10,000-15,000 (exclusive to those living outside Sweden). The scholarship is tailored for one or two-year master’s programs commencing in the autumn semester.

To be eligible, applicants must:

– Be a citizen of a country eligible for SI scholarships.

– Apply for master’s programs that qualify for SI scholarships, with priority given to certain subject areas based on your citizenship.

– Demonstrate work experience and leadership skills from current or previous professional or civil society engagements.

– Be liable to pay tuition fees to Swedish universities and have completed the necessary steps for University Admissions.

Mark your calendars! The application portal opens from 12 February to 28 February 2024. Begin by applying for a master’s program at universityadmissions.se by 15 January 2024. After submitting your application, you’ll receive a personal application number, essential for applying to the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals.

Once your master’s program application is complete, apply for the SI scholarship by submitting required documents digitally through the online portal between 12 February 00:01 and 28 February 2024 14:59 CET.
