This prestigious scholarship program is the flagship initiative of the University of Gothenburg. It caters to students pursuing full-time Master’s programs, including specific Bachelor’s programs such as Software Engineering, International Relations, and Business and Economics.

The scholarship encompasses a wide range of disciplines, covering any full-time Master’s program offered at the University. Additionally, it extends to Bachelor’s programs in Software Engineering, International Relations, and Business and Economics.

The University awards one scholarship per program, and four scholarships are designated for Master’s programs within the Fine, Applied, and Performing Arts, as well as programs in Music and Performance. Notably, two scholarships are reserved for the Axel Adler Scholarship for Sustainability 2024, exclusively for students in sustainability-focused study programs.

The Axel Adler Scholarship is tailored for citizens from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.

Successful recipients of the Axel Adler Scholarship enjoy a tuition fee waiver for the program they are admitted to. However, it’s important to note that the scholarship covers tuition fees exclusively and does not include additional financial support for living expenses or travel grants.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

– Pay tuition in Sweden

– Apply for an international campus-based program at the University of Gothenburg as your first priority

– Be admitted to a full-time Master or Bachelor program at the University

– Submit your application for studies by 15 January 2024 and document your eligibility for studies by 1 February 2024 through universityadmissions.se.

To be considered for the Axel Adler Scholarships, applicants must apply for a Master’s Program via universityadmissions.se by 15 January 2024. Only those who select a University of Gothenburg program as their first choice are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Eligible students will receive application instructions via email around 8 February 2024.
